In the Beginning

Once upon a time there was a bored worker that happened upon a few funny blogs while on the company dime. While our worker is not an advocate of stealing time from her employer to surf the internet, she had completed all her assigned duties and stopped just short of cleaning the office. A task too horrible to fathom as cleaning one's own home is more than enough for anyone. Laughing so hard that actual tears streamed from her eyes, she thought I can do this! She wanted very much to be part of this new community in which she was growing ever so fond.
With the knowledge that she would have to learn to download the pictures from her camera (meaning submitting to her 14 year old son's authority) she plowed ahead. Determined and full of opinions she created her first post. It felt much like a birthing process; a complicated combination of joy, dread and the general "what the hell have I gotten myself into" cocktail.
Having been a mother for many years now, our worker understands that there will be those that rejoice with her and those that will criticize her new baby. Some will grant grace and patience as development and growth happens and some will not. Some will expect perfection or will they? Maybe our worker hasn't written in soooo long because she is too hard on herself in this area. Afterall, she is just a normal, everyday kinda gal who would love to hear your blog birthing stories too.
